Selim, facing financial hardships, contemplates selling the rare holy book. Desperate for assistance, he turns to his artist and calligrapher friend, Ahmet, recently released from prison. Reluctant to navigate the dangerous world of black-market religious artifacts alone, Ahmet approaches Cengiz, a notorious figure in local organized crime, known for his connections. Cengiz assures them of finding a suitable buyer for the extraordinary Koran, but as Selim and Ahmet become entangled with him and his cohorts, they find themselves enmeshed in a treacherous criminal underworld with no easy way out. "Nokta" (the Turkish title meaning "Dot") expertly maintains its stylish and gripping storytelling throughout, as the characters' choices and actions propel them deep into a moral quagmire. Turkish actor Serhat Kilic portrays the struggling Selim Hodja, while Mehmet Ali Nuroglu delivers a powerful performance as the talented yet vulnerable Ahmet. Mustafa Uzunyilmaz, embodying the feared Cengiz, adds an intimidating edge to the narrative.
